Negril lodging covers the gamut from almost palatial to hovel-like in nature.

All Inclusive?

When you are considering a visit to Negril Beach, one option is to go "all inclusive".

All-inclusive normally means just that. Your one price includes return air fare to your destination, ground transport to and from the hotel or resort, all meals, and often, select brands of local alcohol and soft drinks are part of the deal. Some water-frolicking equipment may be included as well, sea kayaks and the like, but most all inclusives do not include motorized recreation equipment as part of their package. Some even include horse-back riding!

We have walked through, and on the beach in front of, all of the all-inclusive resorts that reside on the north end of Negril Beach, and those that are in the next bay north, and not exactly on, Negril Beach. That walk through includes the resort that's world famous for having nude everything! Yup, folks there do really cavort in the all together. Not my cup of tea, but, they aren't bothering me, so have at it, nudies, and two bits of advice. Don't burn sensitive places, and watch what you drag through your soup!

All of the Negril all-inclusive hotels we wanderd look first class, though I have to be honest and say for some of them, their beach fronts left a lot to be desired, compared to the incredible sand beach south of them on Negril Beach proper.

But, let's not lose sight of the fact that for many the number one draw in Jamaica for winter-whacked travelers is the sun. And the Jamaican sun is glorious, regardless of where you are Negril Beach.

Over the years, we have enjoyed many all-inclusive vacations. They are ideal for folks looking for a worry free travel experience.

Now, we find all inclusive travel to be pricey, and the foreign land visited is somewhat "sanitized" by that all-inclusive process. Nevertheless, it's a good way for folks to take a vacation in Negril if they don't want to experiment.

Our Own Way In Negril

We now opt for going our own way. We find the air fare we like, via the carrier we choose. We find our lodging, some including meals, some not. This is with risk, particularly with our early on experience at a certain hotel in Negril this year, yet we find it worthwhile for us.

Whatever level of Negril-lodging you seek, I suspect Negril Beach, Jamaica has it available.

The following is a list of many of Negril Beach lodgings, either right on Negril Beach, or just across Norman Manley Boulevard on the landward side. At the end of the list are lodgings on the famous Negril Cliffs.

In time, some of the list will become links to additonal information. These links are the Negril lodgings with which we have become familiar by staying there, or by doing research while in Negril.

Lodgings on Negril Beach are roughly oriented from Negril Village in the south, up Norman Manley Boulevard, to the end of the north beach. The north beach is approximately on the same latitude as Booby Cay.
